SAIL-Rourkela Steel Plant conducted an auction for 9,000 t of crude coal tar on 26 Aug’25, which failed to attract any bids, as per sources. The opening price was set at around INR 37,000-37,500/t, but buyers showed no interest, reflecting a clear bid-offer disparity and indicating price resistance in the current market environment.
