Steel major SAIL conducted an auction today for 13,250 t (60 kg) of full-length commercial rails from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers booked 50% of the offered material, equivalent to 6,750 t, at a weighted average price of INR 53,000/t exw, sources informed. At the previous auction on 9 April, out of 11,000 t of same grade material on offer, buyers booked only 1,000 t at INR 54,000/t exw.
