India: SAIL plans to purchase 21,905 MT HC Ferro Manganese from Jan’15

BSP, a unit of SAIL has invited bid for a tentative purchase of 21,905 MT HC Ferro manganese from indigenous manufacturers starting from Jan’15.

SAIL, one of the major Steel producers in India, consumes approximately 80,000 MT HC Ferro manganese annually. Therefore, the company intends to procure a tentative quantity of 21,905 MT HC Ferro manganese from indigenous manufacturers for a period of four months, starting from Jan’15-Apr’15.

The total quantity to be purchased is 21,905 MT, which will meet the requirement of following plants and shall be covered under two markets for the upcoming 4 months.

The material should contain minimum of 70% Manganese. Materials shall be dispatched through roadways and transportation shall be arranged by the bidder including freight charges on door delivery basis.

Last date of submission of bids will be on 27 Nov,2014 at 13.00 hrs and technical bids will open on 28 Nov, 2014 at 10.30 hrs.

SAIL’s 9,000 MT Ferro Silicon Purchase Tender expiring on 18 Nov, 2014

SAIL has also extended due date for tentative purchase of 9,000 MT Ferro silicon from indigenous & overseas suppliers for a period of four months starting from Dec’14-Mar’15, which was expected to close on 11 Nov, 2014.
