SAIL conducted two auctions for around 9,300 t of basic grade pig iron on 3 Aug’21, as per SteelMint reports. The first auction form Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) for 4,800 t was booked at a weighted average price of INR 38,250/t, which is INR 750/t higher compared to the previous auction on 28 Jul’21. At the other auction from Bhilai Steel Plant, buyers booked the whole quantity of 4,500 t at INR 39,000/t exw, up by INR 1,100/t as against the last auction conducted on 20 Jul.
