India: SAIL offers 30,000 MT Pig Iron through Open Offer

SAIL is offering 30,000 MT Pig iron (basic grade) for sale from Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) through its open offer.

RSP, a unit of SAIL, has intended to sell 30,000 MT basic grade Pig iron on ‘As is Where is’, ‘No Complaint’ & ‘First-cum-First Serve’ basis by road & rail against 100% payment. Interested participants can buy minimum quantity of 50 MT or its multiple for delivery through road and a minimum of one rake in case of delivery by rail.

In the previous SAIL’s open offer dated 04 Dec’14, the company has offered basic grade Pig iron at INR 21,400/MT & INR 21,500/MT delivered by road & rail respectively. This time, the company is offering discount on quantity starting from 250 MT in order to provide easy access to Pig iron purchasers.

Loading
Loading shall be done by the concerned party with its own labor & equipment, for which, loading charges shall be declared for excise purpose in case of road delivery. Also, for rail delivery, the loading shall be done by RSP at free of cost.

NINL keeps Pig Iron Prices firm

Another renowned company, NINL is offering N1 grade (Si upto 1.24%) Pig iron at INR 21,200/MT and N2 grade (Si: 1.25-1.79%) at INR 21,400/MT ex-Cuttack, with discount of upto INR 400/MT. Pig iron prices in India have been correcting due to lower realizations in export market.
