India: SAIL looks for TMT Conversion Agent in Odisha

SAIL invites tender for appointment of Wet-Leasing Agent(s) (WLA) for conversion in Odisha. Conversion of Semis to TMT Bars will be in the range of 8 to 32 mm with grade of IS: 1786 covering Fe 500 and Fe 500D.

Tenderer should be a bonafide, resourceful, financially sound person(s)/firm(s)/company(s) for appointment as Wet-Leasing Agent(s) willing to offer total capacity of their plant as per production requirements of SAIL.

While mills with multi product lines will be considered for wet leasing if the entire mill is offered, only the TMT (identified sizes) facilities shall be operated.

Tenderer must have a well-established in any one of TMT process such as Turboquench, Thermex, Tempcore, Stelmore & Evcon, with a conversion of 84,000 MT min of TMT bars/year (8 to 32 mm). Approx 80% of production capability should be in range of 8 to 16 mm.

WLA with ISO-9000 certification will be given preference preferred.

Eligibility

• Tenderer should be a BIS License holder for IS: 1786 covering Fe 500 and Fe 500 D grade at the time of application and have reputed name
• They should have financially good record during past three years
• They shall have the facility of microstructure study with photographic facility for analysis
• They have to offer full capacity to SAIL during tender period. They can’t sell their own brand to anyone during the contract period
