The government owned, Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has further increased its HRC and CRC prices by INR 800/t. It’s the second hike announced by company for Jan ’21, earlier the price surged by upto 4,000/t. SteelMint learned from company officials. The effective prices now stand at around INR 55,500-55,800/t for HRC and INR 64,500-65,000/t for CRC (exy-Mumbai) excluding GST @ 18%. Supply crunch and healthy demand led to significant hike in price.
