SAIL/Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) invites bid for purchase of High Carbon Ferro Manganese covering three months requirement of SAIL Plants/Units, on open tender basis from the Indigenous manufacturers.
Company’s requirements are tentative and might vary in terms of quantity. Requirement of material for three months tentative period Feb’14 to Apr’14 covers Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) and Alloy Steel Plant (ASP).
General Conditions:
- Tenderer should be an indigenous manufacturer of Ferro alloys.
- Tenderer must have past experience in supply of HC Ferro Manganese.
- SAIL reserves the right to place order on more than one tenderer for each market separately.
- The delivery period may be extended further by two months, at Buyer’s option, on the same price, terms and condition. The buyer shall exercise this option before the expiry of the original contract period.
- The total quantity shall be covered in two separate Markets (Market-1 & Market-2) based on different units/plant.

- Manganese: 70% min.
- Carbon: 7.5% max.
- Size: 25-100 mm
Total Quantity: 19,300 MT
