SAIL conducted an auction for 550 t of basic grade pig iron on 28 Apr’22 from its IISCO Steel Plant in West Bengal. The base price was set at INR 56,800/t. The auction received no bids as buyers showed no interest, SteelMint learnt. At the company’s previous auction conducted on 19 April, buyers booked 500 t of similar grade material at INR 60,000/t exw.
