India: SAIL floats Tender for Supply of Met Coke

 Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Plant (VISL), a unit of SAIL invites bid for purchase of Medium Ash Metallurgical Coke on FOR Bhadravati basis by road.

Bidding process for price bid evaluation will based on Reverse Auction (RA).

General Conditions:

• Only indigenous Coke manufacturers and PSU trading firms are eligible for participation in the tender
• L1 Tenderer to get maximum share of order volume. VISL reserves the right to place orders on one or more parties
• Purchase preference to PSUs & JVs shall be given as per extant guidelines of SAIL

 Specifications:

• Fixed Carbon: 82% Min
• Ash (dry Basis): 16 % Max
• Total Moisture: 4.0 % Max
• Coke Strength after Reaction (CSR): 60 % Min
• Size: 25 – 80 mm

Total Quantity: 10,000 MT +/- 2%

Delivery: The minimum quantity of Coke to be supplied per day shall be at the rate of 1/60th of the purchase order quantity, starting within 7 days from the date of placement by successful tenderer.
