SAIL held an auction for 800 t of steel grade pig iron on 12 Nov’21 from its Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) in West Bengal. The base price was set at INR 41,500/t. Buyers showed no interest and the auction closed without a single bid being placed. At the previous auction held on 28 Oct, 700 t material was booked at INR 44,050/t exw.
