Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Chairman Soma Mondal laid the foundation stone for the 1-mn t pa pelletising plant today (12 Jun’21), SAIL posted on Twitter. The plant is being set up on build, own and operate (BOO) basis and will enable conversion of large volumes of slime lying in the Hitkasa tailing pond at Dalli Rajhara mines into pellets. SAIL clocked its best-ever steel annual sales of 14.94 mn t in FY’21.
