SAIL’s Chandrapur Ferro Alloys Plant had rescheduled an auction on 18 May for 800 t of left-over silico manganese (Mn 52-57%, 0-3mm, 3-10mm) from the last auction. Only 100 t of Mn:53% grade was booked at INR 63,200/t. Down trending silico manganese prices amid weak demand led to a poor response in the auction. In the last auction on 6 May, only 100 t of Mn:57% grade was sold at INR 80,500/t.
