SAIL held an auction for 1,500 t of steel grade pig iron (by road) on 9 Dec’21 from its IISCO steel plant in West Bengal. Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 36,500/t exw. The last two SAIL auctions were cancelled by the company’s management due to low price realisation.
