SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) conducted an auction for 10,200 t (60 kg and 52 kg, full length) of commercial rails on 28 Jan’23. Out of the total quantity, only 1,950 t were booked and the remaining quantity remained unsold due to a high base price. 52 kg rails fetched bids at INR 72,150/t ex-work and 60 kg rails were sold at INR 42,800/t ex-work, sources informed.
