Govt. owned – Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction today for 25,000 t (52 & 60 kg-full length) commercial rails from its Bhilai Steel Plant, Chhattisgarh. Out of the total offered quantity, buyers booked 18,000 t at a weighted average price of INR 28,650/t exw. In its previous auction conducted last week for 26,300 t commercial rails, only 500 t was booked at INR 29,500/t exw.
