Govt. owned – Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction yesterday for 15,000 t (52 & 60 kg-full length) commercial rail from its Bhilai Steel Plant, Chhattisgarh. Out of the offered quantity buyers booked 14,000 t at INR 31,000/t ex-works. In the previous auction conducted on 30 Dec ’20, the entire quantity of 15,000 t rails was booked at INR 31,600/t ex-works.
