SAIL has scheduled an auction for 11,500 t (60 kg and 52 kg) of full length commercial rails from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh on 22 Aug’22. At the previous auction held on 12 Aug for the same quantity and grade of the material, buyers booked only 1,500 t of 60 kg rails at an average price of INR 51,400/t while 200 t of 52 kg material was booked at INR 65,000/t exw.
