SAIL conducted an auction today for 8,300 t (60 kg and 52kg, full length) commercial rails from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). The base price was set at around INR 53,250/t for 60 kg rail. However, buyers showed no interest due to high base price and booked only 500 t of material at INR 53,250/t exw. While 300 t of 52 kg rails were booked at INR 60,100/t exw.
