PSU steel major SAIL held a pig iron auction from its Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) for 8,650 t material on 18 Dec ’20. The entire quantity was booked at a weighted average price of 33,000/t exw – recording a rise of INR 1,000/t compared to the previous auction held by BSP on 08 Dec ’20. Another auction from Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) for 700 t pig iron fetched bids at INR 33,650/t exw. SAIL pig iron auctions are garnering active response in all plants.
