SAIL held an auction for 6,000 t (three rakes) of steel grade pig iron on 4 May’22 from the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL). The base price was set at INR 56,000/t, but buyers showed no interest and the auction closed without a single bid being placed. At the company’s previous auction on 20 Apr, 4,000 t of similar grade material had been booked at INR 59,000/t exw.
