Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) conducted an auction today for 2,000 t of basic grade pig iron from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 56,400/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. At the company’s previous auction held on 16 Mar for 1,000 t of similar grade material, bookings had been concluded at INR 56,435/t exw.
