India: SAIL-Barsua’s auction fetches premium bids for over 30,000 t of iron ore

SAIL-Barsua conducted an auction for 31,740 t of iron ore tailings in two lots on 30 Oct’24. According to sources,

• One 11,900-t lot (Fe 60.50%) was booked at INR 4,300/t against the base price of INR 3,800/t.
• The second 19,840-t lot (Fe 60.23%) was booked at INR 5,050/t against the base price of INR 3,800/t.

Prices were on ex-mines basis, including royalty, DMF, NMET, and extra premium.
