India: Russian 6200 NAR coal sold at INR 18,500/t at Kandla Port

In a confirmed deal, 2,000 t of Russian 6200 kcal/kg NAR coal was heard sold at INR 18,500/t at Kandla Port. The bookings were made by brick kiln manufacturers amid limited availability of US coal. Shipments from Russia have gained momentum as miners there continue to offer steep discounts. Prices of high-CV US 6900 kcal/kg NAR grade coal, also used by brick producers, are at INR 22,400/t at Tuna Port.
