In a confirmed deal, 10,000 t of Russian 6000 NAR (60%FC) coal has been booked at $187/t CFR India basis at Ennore Port. Amid elevated South African coal prices, sponge iron manufacturers continued to increase their Russian coal purchase on relatively cheaper prices. A total of 0.3 mnt of Russian coal is set to arrive at Indian ports from 1-10 Sept’22, CoalMint data showed.
