India: Rising raw material costs push ERW pipe prices higher

With input costs remaining elevated, electric resistance welded (ERW) patra pipe prices surged INR 1,900/t in the Raipur market on 7 Mar’22. Current offers for base grade ERW pipe (41-60 OD) are assessed at INR 63,900/t exw. Meanwhile, ERW pipe prices are assessed at INR 65,000/t exw-Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab, up INR 1,500/t d-o-d. SteelMint reported pipe prices in Raipur at INR 57,500/t last week, higher by INR 6,400/t w-o-w. Prices exclude GST.
