RINL has floated global tender for purchase of 90,000 MT Low Ash Metallurgical coke (LAM coke) and thus inviting overseas as well as indigenous suppliers for supply of the material.
Vishakhapatnam Steel Plant, one of the largest steelmakers, has intended to purchase 90,000 MT Low Ash Metallurgical coke with shipping tolereance of +/-5%. The total quantity to be purchased is required in three shipments, each carrying 30,000 MT LAM coke.
In case of overseas suppliers, tenderer should supply two shipments of about 30,000 MT. While, in case of indigenous suppliers, the delivery of about 60,000 MT material should be done within 30 days from date of tender agreement.
Eligible tenderer should be a established LAM coke producer with own cokeries or should be a LAM coke supplier. In case purchase of the material from New Source (first time supply to RINL/VSP), the first shipment of the material will be treated as Trial Supply in order to ensure that it meets the stipulated specification and should be suitable for RINL’s use.

- Ash: 12.5% max
- Volatile matter: 1% max
- Size: 50-55 mm
Quotation of Prices
Imported suppliers: Prices should be quoted in USD or in EURO per MT on FoB (trimmed) and CFR basis.
Indigenous suppliers: Prices should be quoted in INR per MT on FoR Loading Station and FoB VSP siding.
Last date for bid submission will be 11 Mar, 2015 at 10.30 hrs.
