RINL’s 80,000 MT Export Tender to Africa expiring on 14 Nov, 2014

RINL has also extended date of another export tender of 80,000 MT (40,000 MT Billets & 40,000 MT Blooms) material exclusively for African countries till 14 Nov, 2014 owing to Cyclone (Hudhud), which has hindered the production of RINL in the month of October.

Falling Billet Prices in Global Market

Billet prices in the global market have been falling on the grounds of lower Scrap prices and subdued steel demand. Current Billet offers from CIS (Russia/Ukraine) are in the range of around USD 460-465/MT FOB Black sea; down by USD 20/MT in last 1-month.

Attractive offers of Chinese Billet have put pressure on Billet prices across the globe. Sources mentioned that current offers from China are USD 465-470 CIF Middle East. Last trade of slabs from India was reported at USD 485/MT FOB India.
