RINL subsidiary Odisha Minerals Development Company (OMDC) has dispatched the first batch of iron ore after 11 years of dormancy, as per latest reports. The Supreme Court last year allowed OMDC to resume mining in six iron ore and manganese leases in Odisha’s Keonjhar district. The dispatch of the first ore consignment after a long gap signals the revival of the state-run company’s iron mines.
