India: RINL extends Pig Iron Open Tender Date the 2nd Time

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), has extended the 30,000 tonnes Basic grade Pig iron open tender date the second time i.e. to the 17th of August, 2013 as it failed to receive bids on the 12th of August.

The tender was floated on the 18th of July and due to no response from domestic takers, it had been extended to the 12th of August earlier.

Last date of bids submission and opening of tender is August 17.

Tender Receipt: 2:30 p.m.

Tender Opening (EMD bid): 03:00 p.m.

Tender Opening (Price Bid): 04:00 p.m.

The successful party has to lift a minimum quantity of 27,000 tonnes of the material within 45 days time.

Delivery schedule: Will be delivered Ex-Plant, Visakhapatnam by Rail (rakes) as well as by Road; loading charges to be borne by VSP.

Presently, RINL is offering Basic grade Pig iron at Rs 22,500/MT (ex works) to domestic buyers.

Buyers interested to lift a total quantity of 8,000 tonnes or above of Basic grade Pig iron, are being offered a discount of Rs 500/MT.

RINL, based at Vizag (Andhra Pradesh), is a state controlled Pig iron producer and the second largest exporter of the material.
