India: Rebar production increases 4% m-o-m in Feb’23

India’s rebar production stood at 3.8 mnt in Feb’23, up 4% from 3.65 mnt in Jan’23, according to Joint Plant Committee’s (JPC’s) data. On y-o-y basis, output rose by 32% compared to 2.87 mnt in Feb’22. Production of state owned companies – SAIL and RINL – remained stable m-o-m while that of JSW Steel, JSPL and Tata Steel saw a fall of 15%, 13% and 6% respectively in Feb’23.
