India: Rebar production falls by 6% m-o-m in Dec’22

India’s rebar production stood at 3 mnt in Dec’22, down 6% from 3.17 mnt a month ago, as per Joint Plant Committee (JPC) data. Similarly, production dropped by 3% y-o-y as against 3.1 mnt in Dec’21. JSW Steel, SAIL, JSPL and RINL recorded a rise in output by 28%, 16%, 11% and 2% m-o-m respectively in Dec’22 while Tata Steel’s output remained flat.
