India’s rebar production stood at 3.65 mnt in Jan’23, up 22% from 3 mnt a month ago, as per Joint Plant Committee (JPC) data. Similarly, production rose by 18% y-o-y as against 3.08 mnt in Jan’22. Tata Steel, JSPL and SAIL recorded an increase in output by 22%, 4% and 3% m-o-m, respectively in Jan’23. Meanwhile, JSW Steel’s output dropped 5% during the period.
