Jalna, Maharashtra-based major rebar manufacturers increased their offers today by up to INR 1,000/t. The current rebar offer for Fe 500 grade of 10-25 mm size was assessed at INR 47,200/t exw by KALIKA TMT and POLAAD TMT. Improvement in buying enquiries, and transactions for rebar steel in the last couple of days, seem to have nudged suppliers to increase offers. With the fast depletion of inventories at mills, prices may remain supported, sources informed.
