India: Rebar prices rise by up to INR 2,000/t

The induction furnace rebar market saw prices rising up to INR 2,000/t on 13 Apr’22. Increase in raw material (billet and sponge iron) prices and improvement in buying enquiries resulted in the strengthening in rebar prices today. Active trades and transactions were also observed in most markets, although in some locations bulk trade volumes were lacking, which led to prices varying across regions.
