Domestic rebar prices increased today in the broad range of INR 100-900/t across major markets except in the few markets of southern and eastern regions of the country, SteelMint assessment shows. A sharp rise in prices of steel billet and sponge iron offered support to rebar producers to strengthen prices further. However, purchase enquiries and transactions remain moderate in the spot market on higher prices, sources informed.
