India: Rebar prices increase further as trade gathers momentum

Induction furnace rebar prices increased further by INR 200-700/t across locations today, while a sharp hike of INR 1,600/t was observed at Jalna in the western region. Improvement in demand and spot trades for rebar nudged manufacturers to increase offers. Prices in the near term are expected to remain supported owing to healthy order bookings in most markets, sources informed.
