India: Rebar prices drop by up to INR 1,000/t ($12) d-o-d in Raipur

The induction furnace-route rebars prices in central India’s Raipur dropped by INR 1,000/t d-o-d.
Around 1,400t rebars deals concluded in the price range of INR 46,800-47,300/t (10-25mm) in today’s trade session.
Prices fell sharply on no bulk bookings since last few days that created sales pressure due to accumulation of inventories at mills. Decreasing steel billets prices made manufacturers to cut their offers.
