RB2 (5500 NAR) coal prices that hit a high of INR 7,100/t last week, has now fallen back to INR 6,850/t ex-Gangavaram. Whereas, RB2 prices at Vizag and Manglore are assessed at INR 6,850/t and INR 7,400/t respectively. Partial lockdown and restrictions being announced in various cities amid rising COVID cases has led buyers from the sponge sector to take a step back as domestic steel demand is anticipated to fall in the upcoming days.
