RB2 (5500 NAR) coal prices are assessed at INR 6,850/t ex-Gangavaram and INR 7,400/t ex-Haldia while offers at Mangalore port are heard at INR 7,800/t. Thermal coal stock at Gangavaram port reduced marginally last week by 0.41% w-o-w basis to 2.42 mn t indicating sufficient coal available at the port. However, portside prices could rise amid logistical concerns at RBCT port which is driving up the index.
