South African coal RB2 (5500 NAR) portside prices is at around INR 5,500/t despite sellers raising offers up to INR 5,800-5,900/t. Sponge iron producers are enjoying the bargaining power at present and are able to negotiate with the sellers amid sufficient availability of stock at port and lack of demand from the sponge iron sector.
