Rashi Steel & Power Limited (RSPL), having an annual Pellet production capacity of 0.4 MnT located in Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), has started its commercial production from Dec’14 onwards.
RSPL was promoted by Mr. Amar Agarwal and has a facility of 0.4 MnT pa pelletization-cum-beneficiation meant for merchant sales. The Pellet plant is being set up using the grate kiln technology.
Current offers for Fe 63+ Iron Pellets assessed at INR 7,800/MT; delivered to Raipur. Freight from Bilaspur to Raipur is around INR 500-600/MT.

Pellet capacity in India is about 91.2 MnT in FY15 and expected to touch 110.7 in FY16. Upcoming Pellet plants are Monnet Ispat (Chattisgarh; 2 MnT) Jayswal Neco (Chhattisgarh ; 1.2 MnT), NMDC (Karnataka; 1.2 MnT), KJS Ahluwalia (Odisha; 1.2 MnT).
