Steel wire rod prices remained high in Raipur market with manufacturers quoting offers at INR 56,500-56,800/t exw today. However, limited trade of around 1,900 t was recorded in the spot market at INR 55,800-56,200/t exw.
- Currently, margins from steel billet (100*100mm) to wire rod (5.5mm) stand at around INR 4,500/t.
- Wire rod prices in the competitive market like Durgapur, eastern India stand at INR 56,300-56,500/t exw.
