Sponge iron prices in Raipur trended down today due to disparity in bids and offers. SteelMint’s price assessment for P-DRI (FeM 80%) fell by INR 300/t to INR 29,700/t exw.
- The majority of buyers were looking to book P-DRI at around INR 29,500/t as against offers at INR 29,700-30,000/t on exw and FoR Raipur basis. Hence, only a few deals were confirmed today.
- DR CLO grade sponge offers dropped to INR 33,000/t; however, buying remains poor and a couple of small deals were reported at INR 32,800-32,900/t exw-Raipur.
