India: Raipur plants book 3,500 t of sponge iron from neighbouring markets

SteelMint’s sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) price assessment decreased by INR 400/t to INR 32,800/t exw-Raipur.
3,450 t FeM 78-80% P-DRI deals were recorded, 65% of which were concluded by Odisha-based plants. FeM 78% was traded at INR 32,300-32,500/t while FeM 79-80% was booked at INR 32,600-32,800/t, both on DAP Raipur basis.
Meanwhile, Raipur plants floated offers at INR 32,900-33,100/t exw but no major deals were concluded due to bid-offer disparity.
