Secondary Rebar manufacturers based in Raipur change gauge parity for all sizes
Rebar manufacturers decided to revise the guage parity in a meeting held today. Prices have been increased for all sizes by INR 300-400/MT with effect from 1 Jun’15 in order to increase the conversion gap.
Rebar manufacturers increased offers in central India in the last three days by around INR 600-700/MT owing to increase in industrial power tariff by 14-23% to be applicable from 1 June’15, coupled with shortage of material seen in few plants.
Industry players are waiting to see whether market participants will be able to accept the sudden rise in prices or not.
Production capacity in Chhattisgarh is around 4 MnT pa.
The last Rebar gauge difference change in Raipur was seen on 16 Apr’14 and before that it was changed on 27 Dec’13.
