Raipur, central India, based mill concluded a wire rod export deal of one rake (around 2,600 t) at about $553-555/t exw, equivalent to $580/t CPT Nepal for the commercial grade, sources shared with SteelMint. Meanwhile, offers for the controlled chemistry wire rod (SAE 1008) stood at $570-580/t exw. Nepal buyers are actively booking wire rod by secondary mills as there is no fresh allocation by primary mills due to shortage amid better domestic realization.
