A West Bengal-based pellet producer has recently concluded a deal for two rakes (around 8,000 t) of pellet to a Raigarh-based mill at INR 13,000-13,500/t, loaded on to rake. Rail freight to Raigarh from WB is around INR 1,500/t. In another deal, a sponge maker in Raigarh bought around 4,000 t pellet from an Odisha-based pellet maker at INR 13,000/t, exw. Landed costs of pellet from eastern and southern India are currently attractive for central Indian buyers against offers of INR 15,500-16,000/t, exw Raipur.
