The Sponge Iron Manufacturer’s Association in Raigarh conducted an important meeting to discuss the damage and losses caused to the plants in the wake of COVID-19. In the meeting following decisions have jointly taken by around 14 plants to cancel all the previous orders and deals of the raw material (specifically for Pellet ore, Coal & Iron ore).
Few plants in Raigarh are operational while others are on complete shutdown with no consumption of raw material & sale of finished goods.
