The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has re-imposed the power shutdown for industrial consumers from 7-10 Jul’21, i.e. for another 72 hours for the West, North and Central zones in order to ensure enhanced supply to the primary sector – agriculture and allied activities. Industries can resume operations from 8 a.m. on Saturday, i.e. 10 Jul. PSPCL has released a notification in regard to load restrictions during the weekly off days and any breach in the form of consuming excess load shall be punished under law. The state power corporation has also declared exemptions for essential services during the compulsory weekly off days.
